Stop child trafficking!!!!

    We are talking about child traffic in the moment when a child is transferred from a place to another, legal or ilegal, in a country or outside of his country`s borders.
     This thing is always made by dealers.Their main objective is to make money, to get rich from child trafficking or other illegal things.
    The child is exploited and forced to work, through beating and lies, or they are sold in other purposes like sexual exploitation (porn and prostitution), illegal activities (drug traffic or begging), adoption, etc..
    This phenomena are frequently found in the countries where the majority of people are living below the poverty line, but not only this countries.

What disadvantaged children wish?

"I wish very much to have good results at school, because I want that my father, from Heaven where he is, to be proud of me"

"I want that my grandmother to live long and be healthy so she can take care of us and help us go to school", said Alin, 13 years old, 7`th grade.

"My biggest wish is to afford the heart surgery. I wish I no longer be sick so I can play with the other kids without getting tired ", said David, 10 years old.

Poor kids and school

    Because of the economic problems in Romania, the number of poor kids has reached 350.000 ... That`s why around 40.000 kids, mostly from the country side, have left their schools, annually..
    In Romania in the year 2011, the access at education remains a major problem. This way, 25% of the kids from the country side are not attending primary school and only 45,2% are attending secondary school.

Poor kids are discriminated in schools!!
   A quarter of children feel discriminated by colleagues and teachers, specially poor kids from country side or gypsy kids.
    Chronic and regrettable phenomenon, non-participation of gypsies kids or poor kids at formal education, is a neglected phenomenon.
    The causes of this phenomenon are many and very complex.
    Marginalisation, exclusion, severe poverty and discrimination - are the dominant attributes that characterize gypsies communities.
    Here are some causes why the gypsy kids or poor kids are not attending schools:
  • physiological needs : lack of food and clothing, financial funds to support children in school, lack of appropriate environment in which the educational process takes place;
  • physical and psychological security needs : lack of transportation to participate at school activities, physical insecurity in schools or elsewhere due to family violence or/and school violence, psychological insecurity created by the child inability to adapt in school, or assessment standards required by teachers.
